Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how QuoteVi ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our platform (quotevi.co) and any related trade-specific properties (e.g. plumbvi.co, plugvi.co, ventvi.co, roofvi.co, and other "Vi" trade brands).

QuoteVi is a home-services lead marketplace. Homeowners describe a project; the platform matches them with licensed local contractors who pay a fee to receive the lead. By using the platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

From Homeowners (Consumers)

From Contractors (Pros)

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Who We Share Your Information With

Homeowner contact details (name, phone, email) are shared only with the specific contractor(s) you are matched with after they pay the per-reveal fee. We do not broadcast your details to a list of pros, and we do not sell consumer data to third parties.

We share data with the following service providers strictly to deliver our service:

We may also disclose information when legally required: in response to subpoenas, court orders, or where necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

4. Pro Outreach to Unclaimed Profiles

We create initial pro profiles using business contact information from public sources (Google Maps Business Listings, contractor licensing databases, and similar publicly available data). We send these contractors commercial email under CAN-SPAM-compliant practices: every email contains the sender's physical address, a clearly identified business purpose, and an unsubscribe link. A contractor can reach out at any time to claim, modify, or remove their profile, or to opt out of further outreach.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for: (a) essential platform functionality (sign-in sessions, form state, security), (b) advertising-effectiveness measurement (Google Ads conversion tracking, Meta Pixel where active), and (c) basic analytics.

On your first visit, you will see a cookie-consent notice. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies, manage settings via your browser, and enable global privacy controls (the GPC signal is honored where applicable).

6. Phone Calls and SMS (TCPA)

By submitting a project request, you consent to receive calls and SMS messages from the contractor(s) we match you with regarding your project. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of pro communication at any time by replying STOP to any SMS or by notifying the pro directly.

We do not authorize pros to use auto-dialers or pre-recorded messages without your separate express consent. If a pro contacts you in a way you did not authorize, please report it to privacy@quotevi.co.

7. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored encrypted at rest and in transit. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1). We use access-controlled service-role keys, encrypted backups, and industry-standard security practices. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected users of any material data breach as required by law.

8. Your Rights

All Users

California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, request correction, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined in the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise CCPA rights, email privacy@quotevi.co with "CCPA Request" in the subject.

Other US State Privacy Laws

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), Texas (TDPSA), Oregon (OCPA), Florida (FDBR), and others as enacted — have analogous rights including access, correction, deletion, and opt-out of targeted advertising and sale. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@quotevi.co.

EU/UK Visitors (GDPR)

QuoteVi is a US-targeted service. If you are in the UK or EU and use the platform, you have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection to processing. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest (operating the marketplace) and consent (marketing communications). Contact privacy@quotevi.co to exercise these rights.

9. Data Retention

Consumer project data is retained for up to 24 months after last activity. Pro account data is retained for the duration of the account and up to 12 months after account closure for tax and dispute-resolution purposes. Anonymized aggregate data may be retained indefinitely for analytics.

10. Children

QuoteVi is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, contact us for prompt deletion.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email (where we have your address) and posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
